MOUNT PLATA EXPEDITION

On this expedition to Cerro Plata, we’ll attempt to reach one of Argentina’s most iconic high mountain summits.

The activity will take place in the Cordón del Plata Provincial Park, a mountainous region that it has a great landscape quality, where remarkable natural attributes of interest are combined scientific and heritage (glaciers, periglacial environment with frozen tundra-type soil, rivers, streams, flora, fauna, archaeological and paleontological remains) together with an important value aesthetic, educational and recreational, given the diversity of environments, their visibility and the existence of singular geographical features.

We will attempt to reach the summit of the mountain that gives this Park its name, Cerro El Plata, with its 6,000 m a.s.l.
