Mountaineering Baptism

This proposal of mountaineering baptism intends to provide an activity for all those people who wish to start in the world of mountaineering in a safe way.

The activity takes place in the Cordón del Plata Provincial Park, mountainous area which possesses great landscapes and prominent natural attributes of great scientific and patrimonial interest (glaciers, periglacial environments with frozen ground, rivers, streams, flora, fauna, archeological and paleontological remains) combined with an important aesthetic, educational and recreational value, due to the diversity of the environments, its visibility conditions and the existence of special geographical features.

We will try to reach the top of two mountains, route that is known as ‘La Cadenita’, which includes the summit of Cerro Arenales of about 3,392 m. and the summit of Lomas Blancas of about 3,657 m.
